UCD is Ireland’s largest university and a particular leader in medicine, science and engineering. UCD’s Clinical Research Centre, located on-site at Dublin’s Mater Miseracordiae University Hospital ( MMUH), is a centre of excellence in R&D and their direct application to patient benefit.

Prof. Ronan Cahill is Director of the Centre for Precision Surgery, UCD and the Digital Surgery Unit, MMUH. Ronan has received multiple international awards, has over 200 peer-reviewed publications and serves on the editorial board of five journals.

Dr Kevin Nolan is a fluidics and optics engineer with particular expertise in Schlieren imaging, micro Particle Image Velocimetry (uPIV) of microflows and stereo PIV of turbulent flows. He has extensive experience in academia and industry, and has over 40 peer-reviewed publications.
